Kimberley Prints
The art centres of the East Kimberley have been supporting artists to extend their access to print workshops since the early 1990s. Represented in this section of the web site are etchings, woodcuts and other print methods by artists of Waringarri and Warmun. East Kimberley art is distinctive and the strength of their painting practice is clearly reflected in the fine art prints.
Also featured is a range of delightful graphic etchings from the small remote community of Kadjina, located south east of Fitzroy Crossing on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert. The result of a workshop conducted by master print maker Martin King, Yangkana Laurel and members of her family demonstrate fine control in these small etchings.
