Rosalind Tjanyari



Rosalind Tjanyari is a Yankunytjatjara / Pitjantjatjara woman, born at Inclulkana in 1971.

Rosalind is a young developing artist who is beginning to be recognised for her fine, intricate style of painting. She has painted in the art centre for some time, increasing her skills through hard work and determination. Rosalind has painted walka designs with the rockhole as her favoured motif. She chooses traditional methods and colour. Rosalind says: "I went to school and grew up in Inclulkana. I also went to boarding school at Woodville in Adelaide. I married in Inclulkana, don't have any children. I look after other people's tjiitji's (children). I like laughing and having fun.1 like to do painting of my own Jukurrpa (dreaming) designs and bush tucker pictures."
