Dagmar Ackerman

Born in Czechoslovakia, Dagmar migrated to Australia in 1954 and in 1981 established TCG Graphic Design, which became one of Sydney’s premier graphic design consultancies. In 1997 she enrolled in an introductory glass course at Sydney College of the Arts and knew glass would be her chosen medium. Her first works focused on the visual impact of light and colour that drew on her experience as a graphic designer. In 1999 Dagmar established a glass studio in Rozelle and achieved Craft Mark accreditation in 2000. Now a highly regarded professional commercial and creative glass artist, her work has been included in many prestigious  exhibitions including the USA, and she is currently exhibiting in Boston and Park City Utah.
