Christopher Churchill

Chris is a Jaru man who has been living in Warmun since 1987. He started to paint in the early 1990's when he was

watching Jack Britten paint at Frog Hollow Community. Chris remembers Jack Britten as a good friend who taught

him many of the ways of the local languages and country. He also learnt much about painting style from this old

man. Chris paints the country that he is familiar with around Warmun and the East Kimberley.
